You will be responsible for:
- Liaising with external stakeholders, such as other health professionals, NDIA- related entities, family members, educational staff, and community members to provide individualise support plans.
- Providing evidence-based Occupational therapy assessments and services, to participants in their home and community environments, based on their goals.
- Providing therapy services individually and as a member of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Providing accurate, timely and high-quality reports.
- Documentation of and reporting on intervention strategies.
- Providing support to senior clinical staff by contributing to initiatives related to areas such as clinical service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Recommendation of appropriate assistive technology in accordance with NDIS guidelines, based on participants goals and funding.
- Consultation through the provision of advice and information to participants, service users, families, and staff as appropriate.
- Supervision, support and mentoring of other staff.
- Work collaboratively with NDIS participants, families and supporting networks to improve effectiveness and drive positive outcomes.
- Work within the NDIS funding framework and meet Nulsen compliance and quality standards.
- This role will involve travelling to clients in varied locations.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or approved equivalent or limited/registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Graduates encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Clear understanding of the needs and rights of people living with disability, and of the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusion, active support, and quality of life.
- Demonstrated ability inassessment and clinical reasoning which supports planning, implementing, andevaluating Occupational Therapy services with thepurpose of achieving the highest possible quality of life for people livingwith disability.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member with clients, and all other stage holders, relating to participants.The ability to relate to participants and their families
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to relate to participants and their families.

- A salary range of $86,400 - $113,400 package + super (depending on experience) + salary packaging of up to $18,550.

The role
The Learning & Development Coordinator providesassistance in developing, administering, coordinating and evaluating Learningand development programs for Nulsen Disability Services. The purpose of this position is to identifythe training needs of the organisation and provide high quality programs thatmeet the needs of the individuals and empower staff to contribute to anenhanced quality of life for service users.
Some of your duties will include:
- Works collaboratively with the Manager, People & Culture to develop and review Nulsen's learning and development strategy
- Provides assistance in the development and review of Nulsen's policies and procedures related to Learning and Development
- Designs, implements and evaluates a range of in-house learning and development initiatives and programs that meet identified needs of staff as well as Nulsen's objectives and the Nulsen Way
- Works collaboratively with the Trainers and Assessors to develop appropriate, relevant and compliant training
- Efficiently administers training and assessments records and the systems to maintain accurate and up to date training information
- Ensures that all training activities and statutory licensing requirements (CPI) are accurately recorded and reported on in a timely manner
- Routinely prepare training reports by collecting and collating relevant statistics data
- Ensure all learning and development activities are carried out within the allocated budget and timeframe.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Considerable knowledge and experience in a senior training and development role, preferably in a disability services environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in developing, facilitating and evaluating training programs
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate all Learning and Development activities
- Strong written and analysis skills including development of training programs and producing a range of reports
- Awareness of and understanding of the National Standards for Disability Services, and industry requirements
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge and experience of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training programs

Nulsen Home (Redcliffe) - parttime position available - 3 month contract with possibility of extension.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- A minimum 2-years experience supporting individuals with complex behaviour supports.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour support and active support.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to use your initiative.
- Have flexible availability to fit in with our current rosters (including morning, afternoon, weekend, night, split and/or short shifts) and supporting community access.
What you’ll need:
- A full Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Full work rights in Australia.
- NDIS Workers Screen Clearance
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) including CPR with at least six months validity.
