At Nulsen Therapy, we provide person-centred and goal-oriented Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Dietetics services. As the dedicated provider of therapy services at Nulsen, we develop strong and lasting relationships with residents and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible support.
Our skilled and specialised team support a range of Nulsen residents, many of whom have complex disability and multiple, higher support needs. We also work alongside the team of Registered Nurses at Nulsen.

Nulsen Therapy – Daily Living
Our Physiotherapists can assess 24-hour postural care needs and develop programs to improve the mobility and freedom of residents. Our Physiotherapists help with falls reduction programs and train support workers to assist residents with their moving and positioning needs (manual handling), as well as suggesting the best equipment to support resident independence.
Our Occupational Therapists can advise on transport and accessibility to improve participation in community activities, with our Speech Pathologists helping you to develop the social skills to make meaningful friendships.
Nulsen Therapy – Communication
Speech Pathology to help you talk, understand and get your message across. Nulsen’s Speech Pathologists are experts in helping people to communicate their needs, wants and feelings with others. We support people in developing improved speech, understanding, reading and language, reading and writing, social skills, expressing, and understanding others.
Our Speech Pathologists can help with alternative and augmentative communication, such as Key Word Sign, visual communication aids, and technological solutions to give people a voice and help with understanding what is happening on a daily basis.
Our Speech Pathologists also work closely with our Occupational Therapists and Positive Behaviour Support practitioners to help people achieve their communication goals.
Nulsen Therapy – Assistive Technology (Equipment)
Dependent on an individuals NDIS plan, goals and needs, Nulsen Therapy can advise the best and latest equipment to meet your everyday needs. Our Nulsen Therapy team are qualified to provide special equipment for our residential homes and to help people get out and about in their community. Motorised and manual wheelchairs, walking aids, commodes, shower chairs, specialised positioning equipment, home modifications, custom-built equipment, orthoses, exercise equipment and electronic communication aids can all be provided through Nulsen Therapy. We can advise on the latest technology, such as smart homes, to increase the independence of our residents.
