Get to know Danny

Danny is in his early thirties and enjoys socialising and connecting with others. He’s active, has a cheeky sense of humour, and loves catching up with friends. His interests include going to the movies, heading to the pub, dancing, dining out, swimming, visiting the local community centre, as well as local shops.
When he’s not out and about, Danny enjoys spending time with his family or relaxing at home gaming, or helping out with cooking. He’s keen to live with a housemate around a similar age who may or may not share the same interests, but who’s always up for a laugh and good company.

Meet one of Danny’s amazing support workers

Hi, my name is Isheanesu Sithole, though most people know me as Billy. I’ve been a Nulsen support worker for the past two years while completing my psychology degree.

I was drawn to support work after my mum recognised how I liked to care for others and encouraged me to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support. From my very first interactions with residents at Nulsen like David, Brian, Julie, and Jennifer, I knew this was a path I truly enjoyed. I’m also inspired by my mum, who is a strong, hardworking, and independent role model.

I’ve built a playful and positive relationship with Danny, similar to the bond I share with my younger brother. We enjoy joking around together, and his cheeky personality always makes me laugh. The most rewarding part of my role is seeing Danny express his emotions, whether it’s his excitement to see me or his appreciation for the support I provide. Those moments are incredibly meaningful.

Outside of work and study, I enjoy skateboarding and watching movies. I’m currently a big fan of Korean films and TV shows, with Parasite being a favourite. I also love Thai food and can never say no to a bowl of laksa.
