One year ago, on 18 October 2024, Nulsen achieved the milestone of 70 years of supporting people with disability in Western Australia.

Starting as the family-founded Mental Incurable Children’s Association in 1954, Nulsen has evolved and adapted into a leading organisation that now supports close to 200 people across 60+ residential settings, with a 700-strong team.

To commemorate this milestone, we’ve created an interactive webpage to take you on a 70-year trip down memory lane. We share a timeline – with videos and images – as a snapshot of some of the key moments in our journey. There are many more events, people and achievements throughout Nulsen’s history that would sit equally among those featured.

This 70th Anniversary web page – together with the Timeline and The Nulsen Story history book – captures seven decades of unwavering commitment to supporting people respectfully, with dignity and compassion. We honour the resilience and achievements of all who have walked this path with us – employees, families, community partners, and everyone along the way.

Most importantly, we honour the 1,000’s of people that Nulsen has supported over the years. This is your story.
